My husband is cooler than me even as an M&M!

Inspired by my sister's post about becoming simpson's characters, I decided to post the results of our becoming M&Ms. I always knew that I was getting a good deal when I married Brandon, because even as an M&M, he rocks!

Don't you love his "Optimus Prime Arms"?

A little explanation: my arms and legs are blue because I thought it looked like I wasn't wearing pants if I made them flesh colored. Brandon thinks my hair is bad in that bun, but if you saw the other options, you'd agree that was the best one to fit my hair. Besides, I seriously do put it up in a bun (minus the chopsticks) every day cause of "little grabby hands". I'm carrying a camera for obvious reasons and I'm wearing running shoes because of my daily Stroller Strides obsession, of course!

Four Generations

When we were in Utah, my mom suggested that I might want a four generations picture. I was delighted and even though it was the last day of our trip, and it was a little rushed, I think it turned out great! This is the picture with my grandmother, my mom, Elly and me.

I think a four generation picture is an amazing treasure and I'm so grateful to have one. I'll definitely try to take more each time all four of us are together. I think this picture is interesting because mostly the four of us look like our dads instead of moms. So, we don't look that much alike. And all our last names are different...well, except Elly's and mine for now.

Here are some more highlights from that day. (I'm pretty impressed with the way they turned out because Elly was exausted!) And bravo to my sister, Keri, for being the photographer. She did a great job.

Pretty soon, Elly was at the end of her rope...

Retraction

So, maybe you read my recent post about watching the PBS documentary "Ferrets" You may also remember that I mentioned how similar it was to "Best in Show". Well, because of that, we just had to watch "Best in Show" again. Lucky for us, it was on TBS at 2am the other night. Even luckier for us, we have TiVO, so we didn't have to stay up ridiculously late to watch it.

So, it was very funny, and it was exactly like "Ferrets" but with dogs, and a little bit more hollywood. But it was also terribly raunchy. This I had either forgotten or tried to block out. So, I can no longer recommend that you see this movie. I can however recommend that you see PBS's "Ferrets". And if you're still not convinced- I'll will tell you that one of the ferret owners sings an original song about her own ferret's mischievous ways. It probably has 12 verses...seriously.

The waving continues...

I wanted to see how much Elly had learned. So, without doing anything with my hands, I asked her a few questions...
She seriously says that last one each time she drops something from her high chair. She repeats "uh oh" after me. This is what it sounds like.

Elly is so friendly...

She even waves at herself. Even though I have the real thing right next to me most of the time, I've still watched the video of Elly waving so many times I can't count. One time while I was watching it, I noticed Elly (the actual Elly) waving. No, it wasn't coincidence. She saw herself waving and waved back. Enjoy...

This time I tried Google video instead of YouTube. It's the same, really.
