This one is actually from my niece Gabriella, not Elly, who is just about Elly's age. She was talking to my Mom (all the grandkids call her Mima) while looking at the back of the cover for This Is It.
Gabby: Mima, why is this lady a witch?
Mima (looking at the DVD cover): Oh, that's not a witch...or a lady. That's Michael Jackson.
Gabby: Oh, he looks like a witch.

When I was 7 we went to Disney World and went to the Captain EO movie. I was thoroughly confused by MJ. For some reason from that movie I gathered that Michael Jackson was a gay man with AIDS and that's why his skin was changing color. I thought that until, oh, about 4 years ago when Daniel and I got in an argument over whether or not Michael Jackson had AIDS.
